Semarang – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University (FISIP UNDIP), has once again contributed to supporting the recruitment process of village government officials through the implementation of the Selection of Morodemak Village Officials, Bonang Sub-district, Demak Regency. The activity, held on September 5 at FISIP UNDIP, was attended by seven participants competing to fill three village official positions.
The positions opened in the selection included Head of General and Administrative Affairs (Kaur Tata Usaha dan Umum), Head of Financial Affairs (Kaur Keuangan), and Head of Services Section (Kasie Pelayanan). The entire selection process took place from 9:00 AM WIB until the announcement of results at 4:00 PM WIB.
The selection was carried out through several stages to measure each participant’s knowledge, skills, and competencies. The first stage began with a Computer Assisted Test (CAT) lasting one hour. To ensure transparency in the selection process, participants could immediately see their scores after completing the CAT.
After that stage, participants took a computer skills test focusing on Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. The ability to use office software is one of the competencies tested, as these skills are needed to support administrative work in the village government environment.
The selection series then continued with an interview test. The interview process was conducted individually using a panel mechanism, in which one participant faced three interviewers. This stage was part of the effort to gain a more comprehensive picture of the participants’ capacity and readiness to carry out their duties as village officials.
Moch. Zainal Asyiqin, S.Pd.I., appreciated the implementation of the selection, which he assessed as having run in an orderly and efficient manner. According to him, the selection process carried out by FISIP UNDIP demonstrates a commitment to integrity in the administration of village official recruitment.
“The implementation of the village official selection has run very smoothly. Every test session went well and efficiently. Seeing what happened today, I strongly believe that FISIP UNDIP has high integrity in conducting village official selections,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chair of the FISIP UNDIP Selection Committee, Dr. Dra. Rina Martini, M.Si., emphasized that professionalism and prudence are the main principles upheld by the committee in every stage of the selection.
“The FISIP UNDIP committee will always prioritize professionalism as academics. We carry out the selection with great care and close any gaps that might arise. A trustworthy and reliable village official selection service is our orientation,” explained Rina.
According to her, the implementation of the selection is not only related to the technical execution of the examination but also ensures that every process can be accounted for. With a structured mechanism, FISIP UNDIP strives to provide an objective selection service while maintaining the trust of all parties involved.
After all participants completed the interview stage, the activity concluded with the announcement of the selection results. The committee also provided space for dialogue, questions and answers, and clarification so that participants and village officials could obtain explanations regarding the implementation and results of the selection.
The implementation of the activity was also witnessed by various related elements. In addition to the selection committee from FISIP UNDIP and the participants, the event was attended by the Head of Morodemak Village, Babinsa from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), police personnel, and the village committee. The presence of these various parties also supported the transparency and smooth running of the selection process.
Overall, the series of the Morodemak Village Official Selection took place safely, in an orderly manner, and conducively. Through this cooperation, FISIP UNDIP continues to strengthen its role in providing expertise services to the community, particularly to support the process of filling village official positions in a professional, transparent, and accountable manner.
